There was a day, a day that changed it all (changed it all) In those moments I forgot just what to say (just what to say) Made no sense to me To be free, I was that day I was free Simple as can be There was one thing; I didn't know what to do (what to do) Or where to go, so I found significance in everything I was amazed just by living in that day I was free Simple as can be
2.
Escape 02:06
Seeing the same sights everyday.... how long before I leave this place? Cause I don't care where I go; just get me out of here Driving down the same path as everyone....

Life is just a series of phases that never return You can only live in the moment for so long before it takes its toll Time has passed and friendships are gone... it's empty here I cannot wait for it all Watch it crumble and be dull It's easy to forget that I made mistakes, just like you In retrospect it was great but I forget reality Now I can't look, no I can't look back; it's all said and done I cannot wait for it all Watch it crumble and be dull
5.
Simple Joys 02:41
Being with a friend Just singing some tunes Wasting away our days Finding ourselves in each other These are my simple joys because they are invaluable There is no reason, And there is no worth But I will always know I wouldn't change a thing These are my simple joys because they are invaluable
6.
We need to look into ourselves and find that one elusive thing It may be in our grasp, but first we must ask ourselves Is it worth sacrificing happiness for anything? A loss of direction and a loss of speed Only leaves me wondering where I'm going to be, but Is it worth sacrificing happiness for anything?

about

This EP is about thoughts, emotions, experiences and realizations I had in my adolescence, mainly in the year I lived in Newark after I graduated from high school.
